Do you often wonder to yourself is this all there is too life…..? As in you are working for the man “your corporate job” that may actually be a fantastic job but you don’t want to be tied to the 9-5pm business model. Your soul knows there is more out there then what society has conditioned us to believe and it isn’t just for those special people or just for the weekends?! Me too! I have had some amazing roles in my career however I stopped climbing the corporate ladder when I started to feel burn out (at my mid 30’s). When I realised, yes these are all amazing jobs that I have landed, which were jobs such as Sales & Marketing exploring the Whitsundays highlight reel, selling some of the worlds best wines and eating at some of the best restaurants throughout Australia and New Zealand, relief work for a Tourist Park Company along some of Western Australia’s best coastlines living in our caravan. I have even ticked the goal of owning our own businesses – bye bye life altogether basically for minimum wage!
Although I had landed these amazing jobs and I was having amazing experiences with those jobs, I was still working way more then I wanted to and trading time for money. There was pressure and stress with these jobs and the brick and motar businesses that wasn't enjoyable or sustainable. I was stressed, burnt out and quite miserable to be honest looking back at it. Selling the businesses that almost broke us and loosing both our parents prematurely (which was devasting), I knew something had to change. Hitting rock bottom with the businesses and being forced to go in another direction was the best thing that happened to us! It forced us to look at how we want to live as you don't know how long you will be on this planet so each day was a gift that had to be made the most of, EVERY day!! That’s when I started researching, online business opportunities and passive income. I read the cliché book that all entrepreneur’s tell you about: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki for the second time. If you haven't read it yet go and get it! This book changed mine and my husbands life. Corny I know, however we literally both invested in courses (click on the link below to learn more about the course that got me started) that would help us develop a life that we loved. Obtaining that balance, freedom and adventure I was so desperately craving. I found genuine mentors and a course that taught me how to start an online business that wasn’t just another get rich quick scheme to waste your efforts and money on. There were different course purchasing options with the course that I started on and of course this is when my scepticism kicking in. When I say KICKED in – I was SUPER sceptical. I was thinking to myself these guys are just going to take my money and this is a too good to be true selling situation. I was worried about yet another perceived failure and having to keep working for the man doing 9-5! That was until I kept researching and watching video’s of other people who had invested in this opportunity to create online businesses. I spoke directly to the lady where I found this course to get a feel for her as a person. She was very genuine and authentic (which got me accross the line) and was making this work really well for herself and her family. I kept listening to genuine, authentic people who were making this work online and making it work really well for themselves, their families and creating their dream life and their dream business!
That’s when I decided to take the plunge, knowing that real down to earth people, that weren’t tech sauvy, that didn’t have a huge social media following or using social media or someone special to make this work. I was tired of the rat race, I was tired of the unrealistic pressure, trading time for money and I knew there was more too life then working full time and living on the weekends. Hitting rock bottom with 2 businesses through Covid and loosing your parents all in five years was the catalyst for all this! There had to be more to life! When I signed up was when I started to live a life FULL of purpose and fullfillment. We are living in our caravan and exploring Australia's best coastlines and countryside. Well, I can tell you the catch is, this ISN’T a get rich quick scheme (results vary from person to person), however if you were consistent with your learning, consistent with doing the work, open to a growth mindset your success will be inevitable. For me, I was willing to do whatever it took to escape the rigid confines of the 9-5pm and working for someone with totally unrealistic expectations who were willing to put their people under way too much pressure to achieve their bottom line or breaking myself with a business that I was basically doing for less then minimum wage. The Good
Flexibility and Freedom
You can work from anywhere and set your own schedule. This gives you the freedom to design a lifestyle that suits you, whether it's traveling, spending more time with family, or pursuing personal passions.
Low Startup Costs
Compared to brick-and-mortar businesses, starting an online business is definitely more affordable. You don’t need to rent office space, and many tools and platforms are available at low or no cost.
Unlimited Income Potential
The internet gives you access to a global market. With the right strategy, you can scale your business without being limited by geography or time. You aren't just restricted to one type of online business opportunity either. I am planning on four different online business types when I master each stage. Stage one is Affiliate Marketing, stage two an E-Commerce store, stage three - a cooking e-book and stage four is an emotional well-being course.
Automation Opportunities
Many aspects of an online business can be automated, such as email marketing, order fulfillment, and customer service. This allows you to create passive income streams once systems are set up. Earning money whilst you are sleeping or drinking mojito's by the beach.

The Ugly
You do need to self motivated and an action taker
I will reiterate again this is not a get rich quick scheme. It takes time and effort. You need to be consistent and open to learning and growth. You need to be coachable and be willing to have set backs and challenges. Results can vary for everyone. However, I will say this, your mindset and what you believe in is everything. Thoughts become things. I am a firm believer in that and have created my reality time and time again in life. This is not a woo woo statement though, you do need to take regular action for this to be a reality and work on your mindset along with it.
There is alot of competition online these days so you do need to narrow down your niche (who you are targeting, what you are going to specialise in and why)
I put this into perspective for myself though, by asking how many of my friends and network are doing business online (there was one!) so this really put this into perspective for me. When you think about your network, alot of people are still working the traditional blue collar jobs so there is plenty of opportunity even with the competition online. This is why it is important to narrow down your niche. There are different investment opportunities with the company I invested in. You can invest a small amount or there are more expensive packages. Which is still 1000 times cheaper then a traditional brick and motar business.
Burnout Risk
Many online business owners fall into the trap of working all the time, especially when they’re just starting out. The desire to “hustle” can lead to burnout, which can impact mental and physical health. The absolute bonus of this online business model is you can set up automated systems. So you can earn money whilst you are sleeping!
Isolation
Working online often means working alone, which can lead to feelings of isolation. Without a team or daily social interaction, some entrepreneurs struggle with loneliness. So head out there and spend time with your loved ones! That's part of why I started this business.
Scams and Untrustworthy Services
The internet is full of scams and shady business opportunities. It’s easy to fall into traps when you’re first starting, whether through fraudulent suppliers, misleading marketing tools, or overpriced courses that don’t deliver value. Ensure you do your research.
Learning How to Create an Online Business
After investing time and money in this course, which I have to say was life changing. Sounds very cheesy however, the personal development alone has been amazing and helps you find joy in every day by following the best life blueprint. Of course, I had fears of failing and spending money on wishful thinking investment however you need to keep failing forward in order to grow, you need to have a growth mindset in order to succeed. This is when I started succeeding on this path! By failing forward, by having a growth mindset. Learning how to tweak and develop my online business. Learning how to use the strategy of authority marketing. I had invested in the 2nd top tier with one to one mentors and group training. Which I knew I wanted to help me grow and in comparison to starting a brick motor business from scratch this was a worthy investment to help me get up and running. By realising this was a new field, it wasn’t going to happen over night however it was going to happen if I kept at it and kept growing! Success was inevitable. Finally my dreams of having a soul centred business where I help people escape the rat race, have that balance, enjoying the adventures and time spent with precious loved ones was real and it exists.
